Help please!
Can someone explain to me the difference between admin (C$)share and just plain sharing (C)of drive or folder?

Can a admin connect to a remote drive, even if the drive is not shared? What ever the rulesare, do they apply to domain and/or workgroup?

C$ is a hidden share, where c share is not hidden. A+ N+ Sec+ SME/Sec+

I didn't check the links wolluf listed.

But in a nut shell, you don't want to give admin shares.
admin can access the root level of a drive, where the OS
resides.
