Friends,
My client's IS person installed a secured .mde file using administrator privileges, then, using a routine I built into the program, linked the tables file which he had placed on a network drive. The dynamic link worked just fine.
When he logged off as admin, and had the workstation's user log in, he got the following message --
You do not have access to make the required system configuration modifications. Please rerun this installation from an administrators account.
The links should have persisted -- my program does not require the links to be re-established if they are sound. I'm at a loss to figure what "system configuration modifications" the program might be making to generate this error.
This is a database that I distribute using a Sagekey installation .msi file. The .mde is secured, the .mdb tables file has password protection. The set-up works just fine if the workstation user has administrator privilege.
Thank you in advance,
p
