Hi

I've created a number of Access databases and put security on one of these. Everytime I access different databases I'm prompted for passwords. (I setup a system.mdw thinking security would only apply to one database).

Some of the databases where set up before I set up the security and consequently all tables / queries were created by Admin. The databases now think that I haven't created tables and won't allow me to delete records, make changes etc.

Is there a universal password that I can use to login and re-grant myself admin privilidges to databases I created before I placed security on the database I intended?

Any tips would be appreciated.

Ian

The problem is that system.mdw is the default security database.
You may try to rename it, adjust the shortcut to your secured database and restore the original system.mdw from another pc.

Hope This Helps, PH.
