Admin Password available but not Admin Mail

AUDIX:

The customer has what he thinks is the Admin password so that remote administration of the AA can be done from a telephone outside the company but he is not sure of the admin mailbox number.

Is there a standard Admin MB number to use when logging on

You might want to check the Avaya Octel Messaging forum. They cover the Audix and Intuity VMS also... Look at their FAQs.

I've never admin'd an AUDIX from touchtones only and I doubt it can be done. Merlin or Partner Messaging? Absolutely. DuVoice? Very painful, but yes. AUDIX? Uh...no dice, I'm confident.

I don't know about Octel as I've had very limited experience with it.

AUDIX is a UNIX-based system that relies on command line stuff. Touchtone-based VMS seems to count on a "master mailbox" or "admin mailbox" to deal with the issues of AA and generic mailbox creation/deletion/password reset and all that junk. AUDIX isn't designed that way.

Post back when you've got a better grip on the VMS and the board will help you anyway they can.
