Admin email question

I have a user whom name was initially spelled in correct and the interim notes admin renamed & corrected the spelling but mail was not being recieved. I was then asked to create a new account with that person - I have and have 2 mail files with differnt .nsf names the correct one and incorrect one.. I have tried pointing the newest id file to the current mailfile but it defaults to the old one. I have checked the location, person documents the short name and mailfile are correct any ideas.

delete the email profile you don't want to use,
just add both names/email addresses to the "User Name" field of the profile that you want to use, then whenever someone sends the user an email address using the incorrectly spelled name it will go to the new profile.

if this doesn't fix your problem then maybe i didn't understnad it correctly.
