When I login to my SMS server I can remote login to any workstation but when I try to use the console on my PC I get an error "Remote Control Agent not found" I'm running a 2000 workstation. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have the service running in services?
If so, did you obtain the latest service pack?

Make sure that you, as a user, have Remote Control access.

In the Admin Console, go to

SMS > Site Database > Security Rights

you should see something like

Name : (DOMAIN)\(USERNAME)
Class : Collection
Instance : All Instances
Permissions : (at the very least, Use Remote Tools)

The security rights are all correct, I checked those. Which Service pack is the latest, SP4? If so then I've already got that installed. The remote control agent service was running on the client machines and my own.

Well I'm a moron so nevermind on this. I added SP4 to the server but I didn't add SP4 to my local install. I appreciate the advice and help.
