I have an InterDev application running on IIS 4.0. If the Network Administrator logs in at the server or any other PC, he can edit/update records. If another user logs in, records are displayed, however; cannot be updated or a new record added. We believe it is a security issue. Any help is appreciated.

here is the error generated...

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'

[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Operation must use an updateable query.

/webtest2/_ScriptLibrary/Recordset.ASP, line 245

Thanks - Anthony

Do you use Anonymous permission to your web app? It sounds like you are using NT authentication - in which case the Access database must have read/write permissions for the target users. If the database, or the directory containing it, does not allow the annonymous user (IUSR_servername) access, then NT authentication is used. (Content Management)
