Im having trouble with a w2k server machine at present.
2 days ago it was disjoined from the domain and placed in its own work group as it is being configured and tested etc for deployment.
The doamin it was joint to has a few policies one of which is that passwords must have at least 8 characters 1 cap one number........This is where the big poroblem is i think
I have reset the admin account using a linux boot disk utility that seems to work fine on w2k pro.
but on this machine it dosn't seem to really write back the sam and reg changes
Is there a spot in the reg where we can set it to ignore any previous domain policy
