Hi All

Running XI r2 sp2 and the only account that has access to the CMC is the default enterprise 'administrator' account.
This is not by design though! , as there are other accounts (both enterprise and NT security) that are members of the admin group and they get the following error when they sign in to the CMC:

You are not allowed to log on to BusinessObjects Enterprise Central Management Console.

Any ideas?

Check the rights for the "EVERYONE" group in the CMC under...

Home -> BusinessObjects Enterprise Applications ->
Central Management Console

I expect that the "EVERYONE" group has the "Log on to the CMC and view this object in the CMC" right set to EXPLICITLY DENIED.

Thanks for that MJRBIM

You were right in your assumptions, I guess an explicit deny in the everyone group overrules a membership of the admin group

Cheers

EXPLICITLY DENIED always takes precedent over any rule.

"Not Specified" is designed as the middle-ground.
