ADL Key Auto Dial 1

Does anyone know a way to have an ADL key dial the programed number with out having to lift the hand set?

Handsfree.

If you are wanting to just dial the same number by pressing the button check out the feature called Hotline in the features section of the books and it will tell you exactly how to implement the feature.

key xx hot d yy zzzzzzzzzzzz

xx=key number
yy=number of digits in the number
zzzzzzzz= the number to be dialed. If it is a 10 digit number then you need to add the 9 and the 1 if it is LD for a total of 12 digits in the place of the yy

There are lots of cool HOT keys too. One of my favorites is:

KEY xx CH D y ZZZZ

CH D = "Combined No Hold Conference + Hot Dial"
y = Number of digits
ZZZZ - the actual digits to dial

Does this work on an option 11? I keep getting the following. I'm working in LD 20.

Well, you're really working in LD11, but accessing it via LD20. Knowing you are working in LD11 will help you to look up prompts and responses in the books.

As far as that key - it is reserved for the Handsfree button so you are stuck using 0 thru 5 You'll always need to keep KEY 6 blank (nul) for Handsfree to function

But you can add the HOT key anywhere else.

Note my post only applies to the 2008HF telephone set. On 2616 sets, Handsfree is reserved as KEY 15.

I tried using a key other than 6 and I'm still getting the same thing. Should I have a service enabled in order for this to work?

Disregard my last post I figured it out. I used the following.

ld 20
REQ: chg
TYPE: 2008
TN: 23 01
ECHG: yes
ITEM: key 05 hot d 4 2555

Works great. Thanks for the help.
