Trying to load data to a DB2 file via Remote View in VFP. DB2 file has a field with format of "Hour". This is being read by VFP as DateTime when I connect. When I try to do the insert or alter that field, get message "Update Conflict" and I am forced to Revert. Suggestions?

What is the data type in the DB2 database?

From and parent topics I don't see DB2 having a data type HOUR.

It would be best to correct the type the remote view uses, this can be done in the view designer. If hour is an int field, this shouldn't be read in as a datetime, but stay an integer, for example.

Bye, Olaf.

the field type is TIME, but when I create the remote view by attaching to the file, the View Designer reads it as DATETIME

Well, Foxpro has no TIME field type.

If the updatable remote view even fails with unchanged values, then you've got a one way situation. A first quick solution to do is to remove that field from the view, at least from the updatable fields. If this is the main field you want to update, sorry, it doesn't map to something in VFP.

Maybe someone else has an idea how to cope with such fields.

Bye, Olaf.
