Don't know if this is the correct place to post this, so let me know.

I have this old Addtron IEEE802.11(b) Wireless PCMCIA card. I am trying to use it on a Toshiba Satellite laptop. When I plug the card in, Windows 98 reports that an Addtron-AWP-100 Wireless PCMCIA device has been inserted and begins the device driver wizard. Windows 98 can not find drivers on it's CD. I went online and founf drivers at DriverGuide.com. I downloaded the suggested driver/configuration utility. After installing the software, no device drivers are installed for the PCMCIA card and the configuration utility reports that no wireless card is connected. None of the files are device driver setup files (.INF) so I don't know where to get the driver from. I owuld like to get the correct driver or some help setting this card up.

.:TUCK:.

I apreciate the attempt, but that's not helpful. If you read my post, I said I found this driver, downloaded it, installed it, and tried to find the device drivers. After running the setup program, no device drivers are installed. When the card is plugged in, the configuration program states that no wireless card adapters are connected. Windows 98 can not find a device driver (*.inf) to install for the card in any of the directories that are archived or installed.
I've google searched like mad. I came here and begun searching the forums for things like wireless, addtron, PCMCIA with either no or little results. I feel really stuck.

I continued my Google searching. i have founf tons of information on this card pertaining to Linux. I have found little information for this card for Windows 98.

I did find this: I have Jury duty today and can not run home and check to see if this is a valid link or will work. It should be a generic driver to work with the Addtron AWP-100.

.:TUCK:.

Did you try "Have Disk" and point to the INF file you downloaded? Sometimes that works after the rest of the driver is installed.

Yes, I tried that. The wizard does not show any *.INF fils in any of the directories. If I use Have Disk... or Specify location to seach, the wizard does not return any drivers.

.:TUCK:.
