I am having trouble setting permissions on my cgi script apparently. I have set the chmod to 755 in Dreamweaver and in ws ftp but am still getting the access denied when I submit my form.

My question is...I have a cgi script that I am using on a completely different server and the permissions are set correctly...can I use a form on server A and have it use a cgi located on server B?
Ya' Gotta Love It!:)X-)

You can definitely have a form on one server and the script located on another, I do it all the time.

That's what I needed to know...Thanks! Ya' Gotta Love It!:)X-)

A CGI call does not care from whence it came. Unless you are playing with cookies and such, there might be a wrinkle..... can't think all the way through it....<ponder....>

I would humbly suggest, however, developing a sufficient relationship with an ISP, so that you can fix the problem rather than trying to run around it.

keep the rudder amid ship and beware the odd typo

I will definitely get it working "correctly" asap but need to have something inline while I flounder around trying to fix my problem. Appreciate the info very much! Ya' Gotta Love It!:)X-)
