Need to know if others have experienced similar problem as mine and, if there is a work around to my headache.

For years, I have been using a DBase runtime application on PCs that had the printers connected to LPT1 or LPT2. The programs output was always directed to the default printer location. Now, I'm using a PC with the printer connected via a USB cable with the port connection description "USB/DeskJet880C/MX92D1B15TGE".

How do I incorporate this port location into my application using the "SET PRINTER TO..." command.

I read your question on Dbase III printing to a USB port back in December 2000. My problem similar. I have a laptop running Windows 98 without a physical port and my Dos based Foxpro2 program which supports an accounting program will not print to a USBLPT port. Other than the suggestion of embedding printing to a file in the code did you ever come up with anything simplier. (The accounting program is massive.) Thanks for your time.
