address keeps appearing in location bar

When I goto the location bar to type a url in, other addresses automatically pop up. I went to Tools; Options and got rid of the history and temp files which removed most of them, but some won`t be deleted.

eg. If I type 'www' addresses pop up like

http://www1.blahblah.com

and

http://wwwhotmail.com.

What do I have to do to delete the cache to prevent this from happening? I can get rid of the normal urls with the full stop after the www, but these I don`t know what to do.

To adjust AutoComplete settings

You can tailor the AutoComplete feature to save and suggest only the information you want. You can choose whether to use AutoComplete for Web addresses, forms, and passwords, or not use it all. And you can clear the history for any of these.

On the Tools menu in Internet Explorer, click Internet Options.
Click the Content tab.
Under Personal information, click AutoComplete.
Select the check boxes for the AutoComplete options you want to use.
