Recently on some machines set up with Windows XP SP1, Office XP SP2 and GW 6.0.2 we are noticing a problem with the address book sort.
You can set up the address book Display Name Format to be sort on last name. In the address book, the last name is underlined indicating it is sorting on that column and the column IS sorted by last name. Turn on the Search Filter and the address book automatically changes the sort to first name (but the last name is still underlined as the sort choice) and Name Completion Search Order does not work using last name.
While trying to fix this I noticed that the Address Book Icon is in the Add/Remove Program list rather than the GW globe icon.
I have uninstalled GW, cleaned the registry (CleanIt by Email Essentials), rebooted the machine and then reinstalled GW. It still happens. I have removed all the address books in Mail and added them back and it still happens.
Any ideas how to fix this?
