Address Book Question

I have Address Book querying the company's ldap server.

When I try to select multiple entries from the address book to send e-mail to, only one is placed in the To field.

I am selecting the recipients and the clicking send e-mail. Should I be doing this differently? And, is it possible to drag recipients to the To field?
