Hi,

My address book does not show my contacts in Outlook 2003. If I go to the contacts and right click, go to properties and select Outlook Address Book tab the option to show is ticked. If I rename this it shows in the address book but still no contacts.

I have run a Detect and Repair just in case but still nothing. If I select a second contact folder I have it shows that name but only a Distribution group from that list shows...none of the other contacts.

Very strange....any ideas appreciated!

Thanks!

Noone with any suggestions???

Have you checked the View for your Contacts? Get into your Contacts, then right click a blank area where the contacts show, choose Customize Current View. If you have the Reset Current View button activated, click it and see if your Contacts appear.

Thanks dodomfcg but this view is fine...it is when I open the address book that the contacts don't show. This means that when I open an email and select to....the address book is empty!!

When you are writing an email:
Click the To.. button & this brings up a Select Names Window
The first text line on this screen is Show names from the: with a scrollable selection field. You may have several choices in that field
Select each one in turn and type a known name in the 'Type name or Select from List:' selection field until you get a result

Thanks guys...a mate suggested scanpst so I ran that and things seem to be back to normal....very weird!

I appreciated your help! :)
