I have generated duplicate contact names in my names.nsf address book following an import from Outlook. Does anybody know a way to remove the duplicates or have a tool or script to do the job?

I'm running Notes 5.03 on Windows XP.

Thanks,

Geoff

Usually mass duplicates are created at one time. But the originals are created randomly. What you could do is determine what date the duplicates were created by looking at the documents' properties. Then perform a search against your documents for the date the documents were created.

The documents will show as selected when found. Delete 'em.

Thanks for that advice. The duplicates do all have the same create date, but how do you search for the date field? I tried using Edit<Find/Replace, but that didn't seem to find the dates.

Also, because I have several hundred duplicates I was hoping for a more automated approach using a script or an agent or something equally clever.
