Not sure if this is the right Forum, but here goes...

Just how do I go about placing my logo on the address bar, just before the http:// ?

I use Internet Explorer and have noticed that some web addresses, Tek-tips, Google, etc., have their own logo placed there when their pages are opened.

Thanks

Its Called a Favicon.
Its a simple 16 by 16 pixel icon.

To place it the code is:
Code:
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="favicon.ico" >
where favicon.ico is the name of your ico file.
You have to place it between the <header> and </header> tags in your document.

Here is a service that will make any image into a favicon.

Hope this helps.

Ohh and who had 13 Oct 06 17:04 as their guess this time.

Ignorance is not necessarily Bliss, case in point:
Unknown has caused an Unknown Error on Unknown and must be shutdown to prevent damage to Unknown.

Brilliant! I can start including this technique on friends websites to their utter amazement!

Thanks again
