I am trying to bring back an agent that was previously deleted.
All fine until I edit the email mailbox, the system comes back with "the entered address is already taken"
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you try with Watchdog restart? Maybe it will help.
Probably email address was still written in DB. Did you check this? If yes, it could be deleted manually but be most careful when messing with this (be sure to make backup before).

I did.
Yes, I can confirm the address is still in the database, but the last time I dipped into the database it didn't end well, had to restore from backup.
I have raised it with Avaya, but thank you for repying.

I had similar problem but with entry from customer detail table. I manage it by manual intervention in DB (described at:
).
As it happens again few times I raised ticket at Avaya Support - they requested upgrade to latest release what was unacceptable since we have another bigger issue on that release at another customer thus Avaya closed ticket. So once again we used to live with problem instead have it solved.
So, if you could let know result of this issue. Tnx.
