IS-IT--Management
and unfortunately it's sporadic, there's no error message, and I haven't been able to duplicate it.
Database is split FE/BE - 2 Operators are using a shared FE file (not my choice)
As calls come in, operators are adding notes about the call to an existing record's memo field. Occassionally, the latest entry will be gone the next time the record is looked at (same day or another day)
The part of the memo field entry which had already been there is intact.
Example:
Monday 10/16. 26 calls logged.
Each call entered in the pre-existing corresponding customer record.
Wednesday 10/18. One of the customers which had called on 10/16 calls back.
The operator notices that there is no entry from 10/16, but remembers entering it.
Both operators then go through their calls from Monday 10/16, checking the records for missing entries.
5 records of the 26 are missing the entries from 10/16.
The entries can be documented as having been made as printouts had been added to the customers' files (these were used to re-enter the missing information).
The form being used has nothing "behind" it to cancel a save. Is there something or somewhere else I should be checking? What can I change in the database/form or suggest they do differently to prevent this from happening again?
