We are loading a new Informix database from delimited text files.
While loading our last loadfile, we got a 'no disk space available' message. (disk space is not a problem...)

How do we increase the allocated database space and/or add chunks...?

I would appreciate any input...?

Hi,

To make an analysis of spaces of Informix issue:
onstat -d

You can add additional chunk an existing dbspace by following steps:

create the a zero byte file. example:

touch chunk02 or
cat /dev/null > chunk02 or simply
> chunk02

and issue chmod 660 for the file. Make sure the owner this file is informix.

1. onmonitor -> Dbspaces -> Add_chunk
2. onspaces -a <spacename> -p <pathname> -o <offset> -s <size>

Regards
Shriyan
