hello guys, I just started to study for my CCNA security.
I have got a router with sdm installed (2801) I can connect to the router using SDm and all seems ok except when I got to configure and then additional task

When I click on this button nothing happens a lttle text box towards the bottom of the screen shows that I have clicked on additional tasks but the menu doesnt show the additonal tasks that I would expect to see.

All other buttons and menus work !

Any ideas anyone????

What IOS on the 2801? HTTP or HTTPS? What browser?

I am having the same problem with this router the additional task button does not work.

smd versio = 2.4.1

hello burtsbees

I have sorted this problem out, so to give you an update and for future reference..

Its the the version of Java that was causing the problem. I had the lastest version of 6.16. I removed it and installed 6.10 and that sorted the issue out.

Thanks

BTW- have you taken the CCNA Security exam?

Just a note on any of the GUIs Cisco implements. They are definitely dependent on the Java version. I carry all sorts of old Java versions so I can get the GUIs (CiscoWorks, SDM, etc.) to work. Very annoying but part of the "job security" Cisco provides! Also, watch for popup blockers and firewalls/anti-virus preventing the GUIs from working.

No I have not yet. I was wondering how much they test on ACS---how can one test on this without access to it???
