Hi everybody - I have a quick question regarding the four soft buttons directly below the LCD display on the Nortel 1230 sets. The first button is labeled "Feat." to access features. The other three buttons, however, are blank. Is it possible to program these buttons with features, or are they unusable in the UCx? I'd like to move a few features already programmed on the main buttons down to these free buttons if possible so I can use the main buttons for BLF's. Thanks for the help!!

I don't believe it's possible to program these buttons, they are controlled by the UCx developers and are non programmable. You can toggle between feature key mode and CS1000 mode via the Nortel settings on GUI which will give you additional options on he display such as MSB, Redial and a few others.

Thanks for the heads up Joe. You were actually the inspiration for my question, as I saw your 1200 series phone video on youtube, and it looked like you had options programmed in on those buttons. How do you do that toggling you mentioned? I'm guessing that's how you have your 1200 series phone set up?

Thanks Joe!

Just change the option Feature Key Mode (PBX - PBX Configuration - Nortel Settings) from Enabled to Disabled.
