A needed help from a tech whose does'nt have Meridian experience.

I have an Opt 61c (x11 rls 25.30+) currently having 2 (two) PRI trunks in one route. Customer needed to add 1 more PRI trunks on the same trunk group route. I have two (2) existing NT5D12AH cards. My questions:

1. Do I need another NT5D12AH card?
2. Do I need ANY other card/s?
3. Can I use QPC720E/F cards?
4. Any other config other than LD 16, etc?
5. Pls refer me to any relevant NTP

Thank you.

1. Not if you only have 2 working t-1's. Each nt5d12 card can handle 2 t-1's

2. depends. The nd5d12 can have a 2 port daugther board on it for d-channels or it can use a standalone msdl card for it's d-channel. Your t-1's could be setup as 1 d-channel per t-1 or they could be set up as primary and backup which would not require another d-channel.

3. yes, but I think only the qpc720F is supported and it will not be suported if you upgrade to the latest release.

4. to provision the new t-1 ld 17 cequ will be needed and ld 17 adan for the d-channel. You will not need ld 16 if you are adding it to a existing trunk route only ld 14 for the members.

5. software administration manual should be all you need. Just program everything like the other components that you have already have.
