Check that the system is correct by using command ALLIP and command HIMDP
Check that the backup unit is connected to the I/O bus.
I there is any previous initial load directory present on the hard disk, remove the previous initial load directory from the hard disk.
Create an initial load directory in the existing system.
Make sure that the storage device has enough space for a system dump.
Check that the PCM lines, extensions, external lines, and PABX operators are connected.
Switch on the DC/DC unit in the new LIM(s).
Are any fuse lamps lit on the new LIM(s)?
Check the fuses in the DC/DC unit. See installation test instructions for INSTALLATION TESTING OF ASB 501 04 .
Press the restart button on the LPU board in the new LIM(s).
If there is voice compression on any PCM-line or is the line AMI-coded or similar change the time slot categories for the PCM-line(s) in the I/O LIM by using command GJTSC . The configuration of the PCM-lines in the I/O LIM must reflect the worst line in the system, because the selection of the time slots for loading is made in the I/O LIM. Time slots used for voice compression cannot be used for loading.Verify by using command GJTSP .
Install licence data.
Order generation and transmission of the LIM disposition table for the new LIM(s) by using commands CNLDI and CNLDT . Completely new programs not included in the initial load directory should not be included in the LIM disposition table. These programs should be added separately after addition of LIM.
Order distribution of the program units from the initial load directory by using command LAPUT . Await printouts LOADING INFORMATION, (obtained immediately) LOADING WAS SUCCESSFUL, (obtained after about 20 minutes) and START PHASE 1, 1.3 AND PHASE 1.5 READY (obtained after some minutes). If the LPU display is used on any of the existing LIMs, 101 will be shown. 101 remains which is correct.
Initiate PCM-lines by using command GJLII. This is done for every line.
Initiate signalling links distribution using command ILLAI .
Verify group switch status by using commands GJLCP , GJLSP and SCICP .
If there is voice compression on any PCM-line change the time slot categories for all PCM-lines in the system by using command GJTSC. Note: The configuration of the PCM-lines in the I/O LIM must reflect the worst line in the system, because the selection of the time slots for loading is made in the I/O LIM. Time slots used for voice compression cannot be used for loading.
Order a complete clock control of the group switch by using command SCICI.
Verify the complete control of the group switch by using command SCICP.
Initiate start-up of the added LIM by using command SFLII.
Deblock the tone sender, the tone receiver, the conference equipment and the multi frequency equipment in the new LIM.
Read out the alarm log by using command ALLIP and deal with alarms (if any).
Check the fault signal buffer by using command HIEDP or HIMDP.
Make a system dump of the changes. By making a system dump at this point problems are avoided in case the reading of exchange data should fail.
When you add to your system lim number 4 or number 8 lim need to redo the package because there are units that are common program end up in such lim.
Otherwise the existing lim would be overloaded.
