Our current NetWorker server has a single GigE connection, and a static IP address. I have been able to finagle another network connection. What would the best method of adding this connection be? Its an HP Proliant server, so I could use the HP network card teaming drivers, but I dont know if Networker will properly take advantage of that?

Hi,

as with all hardware, NetWorker uses what the opearating system can see and present. So if you set up a network trunk that works, NetWorker will take advantage of that. I would recommend going with the teaming option.

It is also possible to have multiple interfaces on the NetWorker server, but it is all much more complicated to get it working with good result. You have to specify in each NetWorker client what network interface to use and you have to manually load balance between the different NICs. I say, go for the teaming option if you have hardware that supports that.
