Has anyone ever added an extra internal hard drive to their BCM(400)?
I'm wondering if it's even possible...

I know about redundant drives - mirroring drive A with a RAID controller card and Drive B.

I'm just curious if, instead of for the purpose of redundancy, an extra drive can be installed for the purpose of more disk space.

If I've got a BCM without remote access and, while on site, I go to archive the logs, I am wondering if I can install an extra drive just to file those archive logs.

I'm thinking the BCM is basically a server - in a server you can install an extra hard drive. Just curious if anyone has ever done it in a BCM - or if the hardware (chassis, cables, etc.) even allow for it...

Yes you probaly could do it. cant see what good it would do, plus it probaly would VOID the warranty.

Voiding the warranty... not good.
I didn't think about that - thanks.

Plus the BCM couldn't use the 2nd drive by its self, it would have to be done manually.
