Additional Domain to existing domain tree

Hi,

I have configure another Win2k3 server as additional domain to an existing domain?

Where in this server can I find the info about the role as additional domain? Any system information that display its role?

What is the function as additional domain?

Is it that it synchronise all user accounts on the actual domain server and serve as backup when the actual domain server is down?
