I brought FoxPro database file into Access to do some maintenance on it but when I exported it back, my numeric fields were lengthened to 3 decimal places (which I don't want)although I never touched the field sizes.
Any ideas ?
Thanks

If you use the commands
use foxtable
copy to exchange.cdf delimited
start access
import from the comma delimited file
play with data
export to exchange.cdf
start fox
use foxtable exclu
zap
append from exchange.cdf delimited
there is no way the field size can change.

You must be creating a new fox table structure from the exported access data.
or the numberic fields you mentioned are character fields holding numberic info.
David W. Also remember that the way Access stores numerical data is not the same way that FoxPro stores numerical data.
Mike Wood
mwood@awod.com
