i am trying to add some cells together, but i have them set up so if the cell that they are referenceing is "", then they are "", so for example right now, aa10 is"" but everything else has a number in it, so when i try and add all of these together i get an error, because aa10 is blank. today it is blank but maybe tomorrow it will have something in it, but maybe another one will be blank. how can i add all these cells together even though some of them are blank, but they do have formulae in them?

=E10+G10+I10+K10+M10+O10+Q10+S10+U10+W10+Y10+AA10

thanks

Change your referecne from =if(something, somethingelse,"") to =if(something,somethingelse,0)

i am working on style as well, i have it set up so it looks at a cell that has a date in it, if there is no date in the cell then i want it to be blank... it's kindof hard to explain.. can i send it to you to show you what i am talking about?

Use =sum(E10,G10,I10,K10,M10,O10,Q10,S10,U10,W10,Y10,AA10) and it will ignore anything that is not a number, including blanks and text.

EXCELLENT!!! that is what i am looking for... i knew i had done it efore, but didn't remember how...

THANKS GOSKA!!!
