To All,

I am in a bit of a pickle. I recently joined one of my remote sites to our domain by installing a Windows 2003 Server DC and PIX 515E at the site and established a VPN tunnel.

It is working beautifully. One issue though I discovered a computer running Windows NT whose sole purpose was being a print server for an IBM printer. Now there is only 2 people that use this thing.

The issue I am having is for some reason I cannot join this ancient box to the domain. Everytime I have tried I get an error stating that the specified domain cannot be contacted. What am I doing wrong?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure that your PDC emulator is up and running, and that the NT machine has access to it.

You may also need to setup a WINS server as Windows NT doesn't know how to use DNS to find a Windows domain.
