Hello we have a SBS win2k3 with exchange setup as our pdc. Users logon to this server (Active Directory)

I just made a new win2k3 standard r2 server that i need to join to the domain. The primary reason is so they can have permissions on this new server. I wasnt sure how to add this, can someone give me detailed steps?? I usually have a tech do this part but he is gone for the day and it has to be done now.

thanks

Right click My Computer, select properties, on the Computer Name tab, click change, check domain, enter the domain, give admin credentials when prompted, reboot.

i got it added but it is not allowing me to write files to the server2k3 still from users or even from the sbs win2k3.

i added everything possible into the server2k3 permissions tab too.

any idea?

Verify "share permissions" as well as ntfs security. maybe a more detailed explaination of what your doing may help. Did you create a share? What and how are you trying to access the server? What error if any are you getting?
