I have a PII 400mhz running WINNT4.0 SP6.0a. I am going to add WIN2kPro. AFTER I do that I will upgrade MB to P4 1.7ghz cpu. Is it kosher to add OS prior to changing hardware? Someone said changing the HW will probably prevent WINNT from booting. Any ideas? This starts Friday 11/23.

They are correct. There are issues with changing MAJOR hardware devices like main boards under Win2K. Your best best is to change the hardware first then install Win2k. James Collins
