I have a customer that has requested more voicemail ports on the Call Manager server. Can anyone walk me thru step by step? Can this procedure cause service interruption?
You don't mention what voicemail application you are using, so I'll assume for a moment that you are using Unity. In this case, you need to keep in mind that not only do you need to add more voicemail ports in the voicemail pilot hunt group in CM, but you need to match those ports in the Unity CM integration setup, which of course means purchasing licenses for those ports if you haven't already done so. The only service interruption would be brief for the Unity service to restart to reload the licenses. Most certainly unnoticable, especially if done after-hours.
