I have just asked about adding values together in a form in a text box. I tried out the reply of '=SUM' in the control source which would have worked but I had forgotten that at times I already have a total in that text box using the control source of a table (I hope that makes sense to someone). What I then need to do is add to that existing record source value e.g.

Name: 1600 Value
Control Source: 1600Value (this already carries a value
and I would like the user to
be able to add to it)

Could somebody please reply as soon as they have made sense of what I've asked (if that's at all possible)!

Cheers

Keza

I am not sure if this is what you want, maybe it will help...

If you just want to display the Sum from the field in the table and another text box, type in the ControlSource property:

=[1600Value] + [another text box]

The text box MUST NOT have the name property "1600Value".
