Hi, first time to post a thread here.
I'm looking for a way to include username, computer name, time stamp etc. as a footer or header on every page that gets printed from a printer (HP Laserjet 4100).
Need a way to track who printed what.... considered separator paged, but would prefer to have it on the actual printout.
PCL Macro overlay is a bit complex, so trying to see if there are other ways to share a printer on a server, and force footer information (like time stamp or the source number you get when you receive faxes) from prints originating from any application.
Can this be done?
Don't want users to be adding the info on their prints, want the printer itself to include it.
Thanks.

Diko

Win2k and XP include a default PCL complient seperator page that you can edit and use:
