I am using Crystal Report 9. I made a XY Scatter graph in my report, now I want to add a Trendline in this graph.
I appreciate if you can help me to find a solution.
You've posted in a Seagate Info forum, try the Crystal Reports Other forum as this joint sees little action...
For version 8.5:
Open the Analyzer tab and select a riser (area, bar, line, marker, pie slice, etc.) or a legend marker.
On the Analyzer menu, point to Format Chart, then click Series.
-OR-
Right-click on the specified area and select Format Chart > Series from the shortcut menu.
-OR-
On the Analyzer Tools toolbar, click Series.
Select the Data Labels tab at the top of the Series Options dialog.
Options:
Show Trendlines: Select this check box to show or hide a trend line for the selected series.
Regression Type: Select one of these regression line types: Linear, Logarithmic, Polynomial, Exponential, or Moving Average to define the type of trend line you want to draw for the selected series. The moving average line is calculated from the data points for the selected series. This trendline smoothes the fluctuations in the data points and shows the pattern or trend.
Thanks for your complete answer and I am sorry that I sent this question to this forum by mistake.
This solution works for the other type of graphs except XY Scatter. Of course I am using Version 9, I don't know maybe this version has some bugs or doesn't support it any more for this type of graph. Because when I chose a series and select Format Chart > Series, Series Option ... window'll be opened and in this window Trendline tab is disable and I cannot enable it.
If you have any other idea or I am wrong, please let me know. Thanks.
