Hi, fairly new to reports in Access and was hoping someone could give me a hand getting some totals in a report.

I have four columns:-
Month
Full Amount
Amount Taken
Amount Remaining (Unbound Text Box) which is Full amount - Amount Taken

I have these grouped by month, my problem is getting another box which shows the sum of the total remaining at each month end.

Would appreciate any help that can be offered.

Thanks

Perry

Do we know how much you started with at the beginning of the month?
Code:
=Sum([Full Amount]) - Sum([Amount Taken])
If this doesn't answer your question, come back with some sample records and expected display in the report.

Month
Jan
Account Full Amount Amount Taken Amount Left
1 5000
1000
2000
2000

2 7000 0 7000

Total Left 9000

This is how i would like it too look.

Thanks

You provided the expected display but forgot to provide some sample records.

It would help if you provided the actual records.

Sorry,

Example 1 January 06
Account No Customer Full Leftto
Amount Trans take
123456 Mr Smith 50000
30000
10000

Total 40000
10000

654321 Mr Brown 70000
10000

Total 10000
60000
Total 70000

The figure of 70000 is the one i cant get to work, the left to take column is a calculated field in my report.

Thanks, hope this makes it clearer

You did not understand my request which I had bolded in my previous reply:
[red]some sample records[/red]
. All you did was show your expected final display. I was hoping that you would provide a view of the raw records that you might see if you viewed the datasheet of your reports record source. I would only need to see the records and fields used to generate your final display.
