I use paint shop pro 7 and I would like to ad part of picture to new picture.
I selected and copy but when I paste to new picture it covers the picture I am working at.Exemplo as a joke I want to add a new person to an exiting picture without covering it. Any help will be appreciated.

When you copy the image you are going to paste, paste it as a new layer. Then use the eraser and or selections to erase or delete the parts of the pasted image you do not want. Also you could (with the image to be pasted) select only the part you want and then copy/paste the selection.

Just a thought to add to Mike's good advice ... you might have to make the selection of the person you're adding to your existing picture smaller if you've taken it from a bigger picture. If that's the case ... copy your selection and first paste it as a new image and resize it. Then copy the smaller version and paste it into your existing picture as a new selection or new layer.
