This may seem an easy one but I am having trouble adding a static route to the routing table of a 771M isdn router. Everytime I use the set ip route command i get the following error:

Value outside of acceptable range, adjusted route.

The command i am using is:

set ip route de 172.31.31.1/24 ga 150.150.18.206

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

you have a destination route that is described by a /24 prefix, but you have a 32 bit address entered in your static route.

try -

de 172.31.31.0/24 ga 150.150.18.206

Thanks for your suggestion, have tried but still get same error. Any other ideas????

Just because I'm curious - have you tried:

#conf t
#ip route 172.31.31.1 255.255.255.0 150.150.18.206

A little more description of your network would be helpful. Can the 172.31.31/24 network talk to the 150.150.18/x network? Are you using any routing protocols - i.e., rip, igrp, eigrp...etc?
