Hello everyone,

I am new to the whole SAN business. I have been reading up on it and have a fairly good understanding of it.

I do have one question that I have not been able to find an answer for. Can I used the storage space on each of the servers and add them to a volume to increase the overall size of that volume.

When you create LUN (volume) on your storage subsystem (SAN not DAS) you can increase the volume size on the fly. If you are asking if you can add space to the LUN (SAN) from DAS (directly attached storage) my answer would be no. That would defeat the whole purpose of a SAN which is to decouple the storage from the server.
