Hi,

I had installed Forte developer 7 software in Sun solaris 9.
I installed it with trial-key and now it has expired and the development team cant use it. Now i will get the licensed serial no. in few days. Before that i just wanted to know that how will i change the serial no.

I came across the SNIT utility, but when i type i get 'command not found' error. I know it is the PATH problem , but i couldnt find the exact path of this file. It is not there in /opt/SUNWspro directory, I have installed Forte in this directory only.

Can someone help me on this.

Rgds

usually, if you get a serialnumber from Sun they send a more or less detailed description how to install this license...

if you want to find a command grep in /var/sadm/install/contents for whatever you've installed with pkgadd
