Hi,

I am printing 25 different letters from one report. This one I am doing using 25 sections, each section is containing one letter based on the customer code I am printing the letter and remaining sections suppressing.
Each letter header is same & containg 3 images.
Here I am trying to seperate letter header and keep in one section and trying to add those 2 sections, but it is not adding.
Is I am thinking on right way? or is there any way to handle this.
Pls guide me how to do this.

Thank you
NM

The normal method is to right-click and choose Insert Section Below. If you already have more than one, you can click on the first and insert just below, e.g. you have Detail a and Detail b, you can insert a new Detail a and the former Detail b will become Detail c, at least that is how it works in Crystal 10. You don't have the option to insert above the first section, but you can move fields down and get the same effect. Have one unsuppressed section and 25 below it that are done selectively.

If you're doing it at detail level based on customer code, you might also group on customer code, one detail line per group but you also have the group header and a few extra option.

It helps to give your Crystal version - 8, 8.5, 9, 10, 11 or whatever. Methods sometimes change between versions, and higher versions have extra options.

You could either use the page header or a group header for the images, with "new page after" set on the group footer. In the x+2 are for new page after, add:

FYI:

Even though you can't add a section 'above', once you add it below, you can click and drag it up in the gray section area to the left or move it above the 'section' in Section Expert using the up arrow at the top.

Thanks, andymc, that's a useful exta. Have a star! But though it works in Crystal 10, 8.5 doesn't seem to have it.
