adding raid card now no disk

Hello:

I have P55, which a raid card was purchased for, I have
simply installed it, pulled out the scsi card, and scsi adapter behind the 4 pack disk, and replaced with another 4 pack card....

I cant boot the system, which I expect, so I attempted to
boot of the OS in the thought to simple rebuild the system, when I go to reload the OS and select disk, it tells me there are NO disk..

Is there something else I need to do after installing the cards, to the hardware in order for this to see the disk? I would of thought a boot of the OS disk to reload would of found them.

I suspect you need to boot a diag cd - download here:

https://www14.software.ibm.com/webapp/set2/sas/f/diags/download/home.html

Then use "task selection" > "raid array manager" to configure the disks.

Then reset the boot list in firmware or from SMS to the new disk location.

actually I have it working, now...
Not sure what the problem was, but after another reboot
i was able to see what I needed.
