Hi,

I am trying to add a printer to an existing SCO unix machine. Here is the current
setup;

(1)Windows 2000 server and (1) SCO unix server

All printers(8) on the network are connected to HP Jetdirect boxes and configured
on the W2k server.
(ip address, name and port number)

The Win98 clients telnet using a program interface called ProComm into the Unix
machine to access the billing program. When in Procomm they can print to a
dot matrix printer that is configured in W2k. We want to add another printer but
can not figure out how to get it setup in the unix enviroment. Please let me know
if you need further info.

Thanks in advance,

Eric

What version of SCO?
Is it the application on the unix box doing the printing?
or
Is the Win98 client doing the printing as a flow thru printer during the Procomm telnet session?

If it is the application printing on the unix box (most likely) then you would add the printer thru the sco utility (scoadmin or sysadmsh) as a remote printer using your existing printer as an example. THEN you would have to configure your application to use the new printer.
