adding picture logo to video

I know this isnt the right forum, but i need to know if anyone knows how to add picture logos to a video. What program would be good to use, and how should i save the image?

PSD for Premiere.

(last two answers are probably very similar for FCP. It's been about 3 years since I used FCP so I don't rightly know)

I feel like I just filled in one of those blank ones in MAD'S "Snappy answers to stupid questions"!

Okay i got premiere and i got my video imported and my picture for logo but the logo buttons dont work. what step do i need to take to enable them?

Hmmm, maybe I am misunderstanding you, but if your logo is, for example, a .psd or a .tiff, then all you need to do is go File>Import>File.

Then you can simply drag and drop it into your Timeline.
