I have added 10 new sets in the PBX and am now trying to have them show in TM. I have gone into Navigator/Utilities/CND/syncronization and run this but still do not see the sets in TM. Can anyone advise as to what I am doing wrong. Thanks

You need to go to -Telephones-Search and fill out the search criteria for the site/system, then hit the search button. If you don't see any phones with the default search criteria, in the Search Results box, select 'Retrieve' from the 'More Actions' drop down list, and do a retrieve all from the switch. This should sync the phones from the pbx to the TM database.

I would say that what you're doing wrong is trying to use TM without the appropriate training :)

I am author of GHTROUT's BARS101, which is probably the most widely circulated and read primer on BARS in the world, as simple as it may appear.

I have never had any BARS training.

I work with techs that have gone to 10+ classes on CS1000. Many of them could not define CLS CTD.

I took my one and only Nortel "certified" class in 1983.

"Training" on TM means posting a question here, in my opinion.

I agree with you GH, I've had only a single class of training, but yet, I seem to manage just fine.

When I come across something I have not seem before, this is the first place I go for help/on-the-job-peer-training

Thanks for the support guys. I have used this forum for years to find out this type of information and it is the first time I have ever received that type of unhelpful comment. The rest of you guys have been great and please keep it up. Just ignore the posts that serve no use.
