How do you add phones using EM in R6? I see that there are templates that can be built. Do you export the template, fill in the data for the phones and then import? Is this the best/only way to do it in R6? Looks like TTY access is not the same anymore.

OK, made some progress. In EM you click on the Phones link in the main tree. Then click on add and select type, template or copy. Found some problems here though. I found that you have to build a phone by type then go back and save it as a template before it will let you select the auto assign TN option.

BUT......now when I try to build multiple phones using my template the preview screen shows 0 phones and if you go ahead and click finish nothing gets built. Part of me is glad this is going the way of the DoDo, I am so sick of this buggy, backwards code and over complicating nonsense.

I agree that EM can be flukey, but once you get it working it does really well.

I have also noticed a difference between the old switch versions on R6. I deal with R6 on an Opt61 system and also a fully fledged CS1KE made up of Opt11s.

To get to your point though, I was able to add multiple sets just fine using a template. That is on the the Opt61 though. I know I have had problems with the E taking a change at times. For that system, I don't do much on EM, mostly CLI. I haven't found if it is a sync issue or what.

Just my 2 scheckels.
